I know LA is still for the most part racist, but the last time I came back home to visit, the was always a pleasant lady at the register. Don't know her views, but she was pleasant to get customer. I went in holding the door open for an older white gentleman. I said hello to the two ladies. Nothing. The man got through the door and one happily said 'hi, welcome to the store' -paraphrasing-. I used the bathroom; first stop since I left Houston, then I went to buy my gas and cola next door at Morrow's. Missed my daiquiri though. I'll get one in Baton Rouge. Sad sad.January 23, 2017
